It has been reported by many Riverside residents that there has been a noticeable increase in dog fouling on the pavements and green spaces.
Riverside Community Council wants to take a proactive approach to dealing with this issue as we want to encourage people to help sustain a clean and happy environment.
We have started by displaying posters encouraging people to "Bag It and Bin It" and also have supplied emergency poo bags for those who are caught short.
We plan to review the location of the bins around Riverside and welcome any suggestions for improvement and engage with Stirling Council to see what more can be done to try and improve this situation.
Since we started this campaign we have given out over 300 bags and the feedback so far is that it is making a difference and a positive campaign so we plan to keep offering the bags. We have also been in contact with the Dog Warden for some more support in the areas worse affected.
For our next step we would love it if any children would like colour in our posters below or design their own ones so we can display them round Riverside to thank dog owners for working hard to keep Riverside beautiful.
You can either send a picture of your finished creation here or pop it through the door Emily's House - 19 Forth Crescent, Riverside.
