Riverside Works
Shore Road Park & Other New Developments
Riverside Community Council, teamed with Riverside Naturally, have been working in consultation with Stirling Council, looking into ways to enhance the green spaces at entrance to Riverside including the junction of Seaforth Place, Forth Place, Forthview, Forth Street and Forth Crescent from Stirling town centre - now officially named Shore Road Park.
September 2025 Update:
12.9.25 - Michaela Jackson - Transport Planning Officer.
‘ Our contractor, JH Civils will start on site on Monday the 22nd of September. Initially just setting up their site welfare and putting in place traffic management to be able to undertake the works safely. The first area they will be starting on will be Shore Road roundabout:
The traffic management will include partial closures of Forthside Way and Forth Street as well as temporary traffic lights on Shore Road. All diversion routes and closures will be clearly marked. We expect this phase of works to take just under 5 weeks.
I was aware that during the construction of the Walk, Cycle, Live routes there was abuse shouted at the operatives on site. I understand that people can get frustrated but would ask that everyone allows extra time for their journeys, knowing that there will be delays. The men on site are doing a difficult job and deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.’
August 2025 Update:
Stirling Council has now released finalised plans for development work throughout Riverside, under the banner "Riverside Works", which now incorporates not only work around Shore Road Park (formerly the 'green space') but also at the Forth Crescent-Ronald Place intersection and the Forth Crescent-Millar Place-Abbey Road intersection and area around the shops there.
Below are snapshots of the finalised plans but zoomable detailed plans are in this PDF file...
