My name is Carol Robertson (Vice-Chair of Riverside Community Council) and I've recently taken ​​over organising the maintenance of all of the beautiful planters that we have spread around Riverside from Bob Dale.

​

Firstly, I'd like to thank Bob for all his efforts over a number of years to co-ordinate the maintenance of our planters. Sadly, Bob has a few too many things on his plate nowadays but will still remain involved, looking after some of the planters.

​

Do you know that we have 10 planters spread around Riverside? Many members of the community have adopted a planter to look after - topping up compost, making sure that they have sufficient water and planting new bulbs to grow for different seasons - we're currently planting new bulbs that will bring new life and colour for spring 2026.

​

Additionally, we are getting plaques made up with the names of our adopters, to be affixed to their respective planter and we often coordinate a walk around as a group. Once we have these plaques affixed, we'll be taking photos of the planters and their maintainers and putting them up below.​
