About the event

Where? We will be working at Borrowmeadow.   It is a large area of open land behind the Peak Sports Village  ( FK8 1QZ)  and the Stirling County Cricket Club ground.  It is owned by Stirling Council and TreeLink is working in partnership with the Council.    What will we be doing? This is the first session of a series running over the autumn and winter to build on previous tree planting there some years ago.  Many of the previously planted trees have thrived but a significant number have failed.  This first session is a simple task - to remove the tree guards where trees have failed.  We will return to plant new trees in October as part of the Stirling Climate Festival   - probably over the weekend 16/17 Ocotber.   When? We are looking for volunteers on Saturday 21st August.  Meet at the entrance to the pool at 10.00 a.m.  It is a five minute walk to Borrowmeadow.  There is parking at The Peak. What to bring? Please bring your own gardening/work gloves.   There are may be nettles about, so long sleeves and long trousers are best as well as stout footwear.  There are no refreshment facilities (or toilets) at Borrowmeadow itself.

If you would like more information please just reply to this email.   It would also be helpful if you would reply if you intend coming to help us to plan.
